QuestionAngie,
Would like to know the name of the Oak bearing the largest acorns in the S/E U.S.,specifically in Tennessee. Thanks for any information provided. Mr. D. Frazier
AnswerHello Mr. Frazier,
I went to a plant database for TN and got a list of your local Oaks...My references say that most acorns average 1" in lengh however the Bur (Q. macrocarpa) and the Shumard (Q. shumarii) can get as large as 1 1/2 " long.
Hope this answers your question if not...write back.
