Question
Can you tell me a couple of things about the cashew?  Is it a tree or a plant?  Also, my wife claims it has a fruit that is quite good but only knows the Spanish name for it.  So what IS the cashew fruit called?  Thanks.  John

it is a tree(15M tall) that grows along the amazon dry sandy areas(mainly brazil) . trees are plants. it could be considered a large shrub or small tree. it's pseudo-fruit is called a peduncle. the cashew nut(seed) is produced at the end of this pseudo-fruit. most plants produce seeds in/on a fruiting structure for reproduction. hope this info was helpful. please rate my answer on the allexperts.com site.
