Question
Rick:  Thank you for offering this service.  Last Fall I saw this really neat plant that grows no more than a foot off the ground.  It had dried up for the year when I saw it.  They were quart-sized, paper-thin leaves at the top of the thin little stalks.  Actually, I guess these were seedpods 'cause I picked some of them and you could see the seeds in them.  I'd love to plant them.  Are they a weed?  Do you know what I'm talking about?  It seems like you used to see them in dried floral arrangements in the seventies.

Thanks,

Ian

Answer
i'm in NJ and don't have a clue from your description. depends on where you live. i was in my 20's during the seventies. visit where you saw them last fall and see if anyone can tell you what they are. visit a local garden center/nursery and quiz them too.
sorry i couldn't be of more help to you.
good luck
rick
