QuestionI was given some type of spider plant over a year ago that I would like identified please. It is a darker green throughout the center than the edges which range from light green to white. There are no flowers.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Answerthe common name would be reversed varigated spider plant. binomial Latin name is chlorophytum comosum with numerous variety names added. yours is probably a variegatum, pictoratum, or laxum variety. if given enough light they will all flower (do so very easy in a greenhouse). seeds will produce only all green varieties unless mutated. rooting the babies (stolons) will give you an exact replica (same genetics) as the parent plant. they are all in the lilly family.
