QuestionI have a RainJet RJC-6-1 timer I have had for many years.
I have to push on the inside cover to make contact.
I probably need to replace it with a RJC 66 but they do not mention the model with a pump start.
Do they make a RJC 66 1 (with pump start?)
AnswerHey Darryl, the Rainjet brand would not be considered something a professional contractor would install. I have no idea about these controllers, except the fact that this brand controller would be the first thing I would replace. I would suggest installing a Irri-trol "Rain dial" controller. They come in indoor and outdoor models and also a 6, 9 or 12 station model. They all have a pump start terminal. These controllers will last 12 to 15 years, and also can be repaired if they ever go bad. Spend the money and get a good professional controller. Good luck and have a great day.
