Questionhose/pool fixture bras
QUESTION: Do you know if this picture attached has a replacement part name and how to take it off/ remove it from the fixture, the sir says the brass fitting is connected to the pvc, (that it will screw off but won't move side to side as it might break the pvc fixture) which is lighter and might break, but it seems like it screws off on one end, and I don't know if it's glued/? on the other end. The pvc fixture is on the left side. The grey stuff on the 2 piece parts looking from the left is jb weld. So do you know how to remove the jb weld as well if needed?
ANSWER: Hey Richie, why do you need to replace it? is it leaking from the top? If it is, there is a repair kit you can buy to replace the inside pieces. Let me know why you need to replace it, so I can help you further. Otherwise if it is leaking from under the brass top, you can put the rebuild kit in it. It is a "Febco" 765 vacuum breaker. Good luck and have a great day.

QUESTION: Thanks, It's leaking from the bottom.
AnswerHey Richie, this is what I would do. Cut the plastic pipe on the discharge side, about 6 inches below the elbow (by the black pipe wrap).Make sure your water is shut off to the house. Now un-thread the whole assemble with the tee and hose bib still intact from the pipe coming out the wall. Now with the whole unit out, unscrew the tee from the bottom of the vacuum breaker. I can't tell from the picture, but it looks like they used a galvanized tee. If it is, replace this tee with a brass tee, and a brass nipple feeding into the vacuum breaker. Still with the unit out, unscrew the discharge male adaptor, and elbow. If it has the JB weld on it, you might have to chip this stuff off with a hammer and chisel. If you accidently break the plastic piece inside the brass discharge valve, you can simply heat this piece up with a torch, and it will become soft enough to pull out of the valve. Now with a new tee and nipple, screw this piece into the bottom of the vacuum breaker. Now take the whole assembly and spin in back onto the pipe coming out of the wall. You can also now screw the hose bib back onto the tee. Before you hook up the discharge side, turn the bottom valve off, and now you can turn the house water back on, and check for leaks. If you have no leaks, screw a new male adaptor into the discharge valve. Hook up a new piece of pipe into the male adaptor, long enough to align with the pipe going down that you cut off. Now put a piece of pipe on the piece you cut off, with a coupling, long enough to reach to the pipe coming out of themale adaptor. Now simply pull the pipe going into the ground back a little, and hook up a new elbow to this pipe. It will be easier to put your PVC cement on both pipes, then into the elbow sockets, and cement them together at the same time. Good luck and have a great day.
