QuestionI just purchased a home with a destroyed rainbird controller and bought an orbit controller to replace it. The Rainbird has a wire slot for MV (I'm assuming master valve), the Orbit does not have this slot. Do I have to return the orbit for a controller with an MV slot or is there another option. The slots on the Orbit are 1-6, common and sensor.
Thanks for your help in advance
John
AnswerHey John, you only need a controller that has a master valve hook up, if you have a master valve on your system. If you had a wire hooked to the master valve terminal on the Rainbird controller, then more than likely you have a master valve. If ther is no wire hooked to the master valve teminal on the old rainbird contrller, then you probably don't have a master valve, so the new controller doesn't need a master valve hook up. Good luck and have a great day.
