QuestionWhen my yard undergrd irrigation sprinkler system runs, there is a "clicking" sound feedback through the house plumbing system. It sounds like a "water meter counting valve" clicking out the gallons being used. Most of my sprinklers are "impulse" types. What is causing this "clicking"?
AnswerHi Tom,
The only components in the sprinklers systems that click are the solenoids, usually there are one at each valve and one at the backflow prevented located where the water source connects to the irrigation. An continuous clicking says one solenoid its about to fail.
