QuestionI have a five zone irrigation system with a master valve and all of my zones are coming on at the same time. I disconnected all of the station wires except one and they still all came on at once. There is no pressure because of this, so they just weep. I checked the voltage and am getting 28V at the master valve and the station that is supposed to be on is 28V. All other stations read 0. I disconnected the station wire at the valves and they still all come on. Is this a common wire problem? Thanks.
AnswerHi Brad,
This is an valve problem, the solenoids stuck open, most probably, or the valves has dirt inside preventing the diaphragm to,close. Do this replace the solenoid for one valve, fires up other zone, if the valve with the new solenoid remains closed, replace all the solenoids. If not you have to open the valves and clean from sand, stones, frogs, snails. Also Check the diaphragm if it is cracked or has lost the flexibility, replace the diaphragm.
