QuestionHi ... I am having trouble with my timer. It has worked fine for years and when I got home from vacation, it had been unplugged. Now, zone 2 will not shut off. I am able to turn on manual watering and zone 1 comes on; however, zone 2 also stays on. I am at a loss of what to do. Zone 2 remains on even if I unplug and reset the timer. I have had to manually turn off the water in the front yard. Do you know what this could be?
Thank you so much for your time!
Sara.
AnswerHey Sara, more tahn likely it is your automatic valve and not your controller. Usually when a valve sticks on, it is either the solenoid plunger has gotten stuck in the up position, or the diaphram has gone bad. What you need to do, is find your valve (zone) #2 and rebuild or replace this valve. A good website is www.irrigationtutorials.com and you can figure out how to either rebuild or replace this valve. Thanks and have a great day.
