QuestionQUESTION: Some of my irrigation stations are cycling rapidly on and off on occasion for no reason. My Hunter ICC-800 controller (I think it was new in 2004) is showing no error messages, no stations are indicated on, but the sprinklers are popping up and down and I can hear the valves/solenoids. I ran the Hunter Quick Check and also got no error messages. It is happening to 3 or 4 different stations on my system (that I know of). Does this seem to indicate my controller is failing or should I try to reset it's microprocessor as per the manual. Or could it be my valves or solenoids (although that would be crazy if they all did the same thing at the same time)?
Thank you very much for your time.
ANSWER: Hi Stephanie,
Reset the controller pushing the reset button located on the back of the face plate.
If this doesn't solve the problem, please let me know.

QUESTION: Reset didn't do anything, in fact, this morning it looked like ALL the stations had come on. Tried unplugging it and removing back up battery for 15 minutes too, that didn't seem to help either.
Thank you.
ANSWER: Hi Stephanie,
Do you mean each zone stars for a while at no pre programmed time? Or when it's time for watering it not run for the time programmed
Can you describe me how the controller is programmed?. For each program the start time, days, time per zone and any other setting you may have.
I'll be glad to help you.

QUESTION: i have 11 different stations on 4 different program. at the moment, only two programs hav estart times since the other stations don t need water. one program is scheduled to start at 7:30 am the other program at 9 am. the other two programs have stations ith various run times but i have no startt imes right now. i know the stations i want to come on are coming on aas scheduled . but at random times (once i noticed it in the morning, a couple other times it was late afternoon) i'll see sprinklers popping up and down repeatedly on various stations (i,ve seen it on all the stations at one time or another). it,s like the controller is sending random electrical signals or something.
AnswerCan you measure electricity? I mean if you have a volt meter when the stations are popping up and down repeatedly, measure the volts at each station. Put the black lead on the common port (the one with the white wire) and the red lead at the station port, if you get power when the station is supposed to be off, the controller is bad.
Let me know if I can help.
