QuestionQUESTION: I just bought a house last July and has an irrigation system. This is my first experience with an irrigation system. Last summer it ran perfectly. I hired someone to winterize the system. This past weekend I went to open up the system and having issues. When I went to manually run each zone separately to make sure everything was running smoothly, every zone opens up at the same time and the pressure is moderate with best pressure in zone 1. I have 5 zones and the 4th and 5th zones are barely working, the heads are barely popping up.
I am learning all this for the first time and not familiar with everything going on in the control boxes. I turned on all the valves and can hear the water flowing. How do I fix this problem? I'm guessing the pressure will return when running each zone by itself is how I typically have it programmed. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
ANSWER: Hello,
Did you have to turn the water off to get the system to turn off or where you able to just turn off the controller or did you have to unplug it?

QUESTION: I had to go back and shut the water off to the system at thevalve in the control box and then turn off each solenoid then fully open up the bleeder screws that coresponded with each solenoid. That fixed the problem, now I have found a leaking sprinkler head, a rain bird 5000, now have to figure out if I need to replace it or clean it out of debris
AnswerI believe that you were actually opening up the Flow Control features on the valves, since if you opened up the bleeder screws it would have the same effect as having all the solenoids turned on at the same time.
Luckily the RB 5004pc will not break the bank. You can pick them up at Lowes or HD for about $10
