QuestionIf I lose power, my irrigation controls reset...being this is the first time I've turned it on in 2012...I tried to set current date and time and my year choices start at 96 and end in 2011...with no option to set for 2012.
Obviously my controls could be older and I don't know when they were installed as it came with the house from previous owner.
It says Hunter SRC on panel. I even tried setting it for Dec 31, 2011 and let it roll over to 2012 but when I went to change to March instead of Jan again it sopped at 2011 as a year option.
Any easy fix?
Josh
AnswerGood Morning,
This is the first that I have heard of the issue and I am curious what may be ahead this year once our season starts since there are a number of original SRC's that we service. I emailed my main supplier for Hunter in the area we work with and they have yet to hear of such a occurance but keep in mind that we work in a northern climate (Ohio) and nobody has attempted to start there systems yet. He referred me to the Hunter Help line: 800-733-2823. I could have called and relayed the info so I came off as being well versed in the electronic engineering of Hunter controllers but instead I think its best if you call direct so if there are any procedures they want you to do instead of the standard reset.
Best of luck, and let me know what happens.
Bob
Hello, here is a update. Correct the original 1996 src controller was not designed to go past 2011 regarding calendar dates. Design flaw. You can use 2001 which should be the same as 2012. Let me know.
