Question
We have a James Haradie Irrigation Rain Dial 6, 9 & 12 station indoor & outdoor controller.  The system comes on when the function switch is set in off/stop position.  Irrigation store where we bought this no longer open, and we need to find someone who can answer this or lead us to someone who can be of help.  Thanks.

Hey M.L., the switch you are talking about has probably had the contacts worn off, and is not making correct contact anymore. Instead of replacing the whole controller, you can just purchase a new panel for this unit. James Hardie was bought out by "Irri-trol" and they now manufacture this unit. It is still called the "Rain-Dial". I would suggest looking for a local Irrigation supply store, and they should have a panel you can buy. I see you are in calif., there is a supply chain store called "Ewing" and they would have one, check and see if there is one near you. If not, call "Sprinkler World of Arizona" 602-954-9022 and they could send you one. Good luck and have a great day.
