QuestionQUESTION: Hi
We have a 21+ year old Toro Vision control system for our lawn and garden sprinklers.
It continues to operate well for the most part, but in recent months, it has decided to start a round of sprinkling at 1:00am in the morning. Depending on the time of year, we set the sprinklers for early morning and/or mid-afternoon, but never at night.
The system always sprinkles on the right days (Wed-Fri-Sun), but we don't know why we now have this extra "mystery" cycle at 1:00am.
Any ideas?
Bob
ANSWER: Hey Bob, this controller has a default setting if the power goes out, and sets the system to run on mon, wed, and friday at 12:00 am. What I would suggest, is to take the battery out of the controller, and then power the controller off for about a minute. Then re-program the controller to the time you want it to run, and then install a new battery, and see if this doesn't get the "mystery time" out of the system. Good luck and have a great day.

QUESTION: Thank you, Jim
I appreciate your very detailed response.
Now for the really dumb question... where is the battery located? After 21+ years, I confess I have no idea where the manual might be. I looked for a battery compartment once a couple of weeks ago, thinking along the lines of your answer, but I couldn't find it. Maybe just too hasty.
Bob
AnswerHey Bob, it will be at the bottom of the controller, behind the bottom panel, in the right corner. Bob, if you need a manual, go to "google" and type in Toro vision 1 manual, and you can find a manual website that you can download a manual from. Good luck and have a great day.
