Question
My old system (which you've helped me with before) works very well
but yesterday after finishing it's cycle, started over again with the first station only and would not go off.  I tried moving the off/on
lever into off, but nothing happened.  Any ideas?  I have a
"fix-it" man coming over in a few hours, but was wondering if
you have any thoughts on what would be causing this.  I finally
had to shut off the main water to the sprinkler system to get it
off.  I did wait for 30 min then turned it back on again to see if
it would reset, but it didn't.
I appreciate your help on this.

Hey Kathleen, valve #1 needs to be checked out. Normally when a valve sticks on, it is either the soleoid that is sticking in the up position, or the diaphram is worn out and needs to be replaced.
