Question
I have an Irritrol Kwikdial unit that has run very well for seven years. It is now blinking the display, and will not run the auto mode. I can use the control to manually turn on the zones, but the display blinks like crazy.

Make sure your program is still saved in the controller and that for whatever reason the timer didn't reset itself.  If the program is present in the controller and you are having the issue you can reset the controller by connecting the "reset" contact momentarily with the tip of a flat bladed screwdriver. Display will then blink and has been reset to factory default settings. You will then have to reprogram the controller to your needs. If all else fails you can call their controller repair department at 800-634-8873 and on their website it states low cost repairs with a 48-72hr turnaround.  Even though I'm in the irrigation industry I'm not an expert with regards to electrical engineering so I just googled irritrol kwikdial manual and all of the above information was found on the irritrol website when I googled irritrol kwikdial manual.
