QuestionI tried to manually turn on a zone and the display switched to OFF and began blinking. I looked this up in my controller manual and it said you can test a zone for a short, but I get the same result on all of my zones. I tried to have the system come on with the semi-auto button but it doesn't work, it blinks also. I can get it back to the time and stop the blinking by pushing + or -. I looked online and one manual said to check and replace the fuse, but there is no fuse on my panel. It seems like there is some electrical problem. All the wires appear OK. Any way to reset the controller? Any ideas?
AnswerHey Tray, these controllers have a tendency to have this issue after a few years. There is one part inside the panel that goes bad. You can either have this part replaced, or just replace the whole panel. You can buy just the panel, and not have to buy the whole controller. I would first check with your local irrigation supply company and see if they can repair the panel, and if not purchase a new panel. There is a fuse inside the controller, but to access it, you need to hinge the panel out, so you can access the fuse in the back of the controller. More than likely, the fuse is fine. Good luck and have a great day.
