QuestionHello Jim,
I have a Hardie James HR-6100... This morning it went off as usual around 7 am and then continued to sprinkle on and on and on... still sprinkling I am afraid.
I tried several times to put the switch on the Off/Rain position but it does not stop the water from coming out. Then I tried to reset the program to water for 0 mins every day at all 3 of the setting times. Still the sprinklers are running. I am desperate and am getting ready to kill the main water to the house.
Any suggestions? Help!
Thank you,
Carina
AnswerHey Carina, the problem is in the automatic valve and not the controller. If the controller is set to off, or the power is disconnected, and the valve is still running, then you need to find the valve and either replace or repair it. First, try to find a shut off valve, that just turns off the water to the sprinkling system, and not the whole house. Then you need to find the automatic valves, and determine which valve is not shutting off. Go to www.irrigationtutorials.com, and this website will show you how to either replace or repair your automatic valve. good luck and have a great day.
