Question
just repalced pump start to irrigation well. it is controled by the rain bird rc series clock. no power being generated to the starter. how can i tell where the problem lies in the 24 volt output to the starter box?? the clock is ticking and is pluged in. what would you suggest? thanks in advance. Sam

Hi Sam

Here is how to connect the pump starter using the master valve outputs:
Master Valve Wiring
1. Connect one lead from a 24 VAC Master Valve to the
controller Master Valve lead (Wht/Orn).
2. Connect the other Master Valve lead to the controller
common (white) along with the valve common leads.
CAUTION: If a master valve is not being used, be sure
to tape the end of the Master Valve lead to prevent any
possibility of "shorting."

This will send 24VAC to the pump starter. Make sure you have ( at the pump starter) the 24VAC at the leads from the controller ( the PS should click when the controller start a zone) , (most PS at the side) the input voltage at the top and the output voltage at the bottom.
