QuestionI am currently looking into getting my irrigators license to expand my lawn service business.
Any advice you could give me?
Are there things I should think about before I take on this endeavor?
Do you think a 5 day course will be enough training to be able to confidently jump right into performing services?
AnswerHey Joshua, I wouldn't be able to tell you if this course is any good, without knowing what they would teach you. I would suggest using high quality parts, we always use Rainbird, and pretty much only this brand. Make sure you space the heads the proper distances, so you get good coverage. Make sure you always check your volume and pressure, before you design a system. Make sure you have a good idea what to charge a customer without working for free, especially if you haven't done it before. It's hard for me to discourage you from trying this out, to me this work is easy, but I've been doing it my whole life. Also make sure you always clean the jobsite before you leave, this always leaves a good impression. Good luck and have a great day.
