Question
I have a RD-1200 installed.  For the past 3 months I have been going through a battery a month.  If I don't change the battery and try to run a station the clock will start to blink and then go off.  I changed out the plug and have the same issue.  Is this repairable?

Hey Paul, this is a common problem on this controller. What I would suggest, is to simply replace the panel, and not the whole controller. You can just purchase a new panel, and it will be cheaper than the whole controller. You can also have the old panel repaired, but the cost won't be that much cheaper than just purchasing the panel, and the new panel will last a lot longer then the re-built panel. If you look in the back of the controller, you will notice a ribbon of wires that plugs into the back of the case, simply unplug this from the back, and snap the panel away from the plastic hinges.
