QuestionHi Jim!
The GFI that our sprinkler system is on tripped this am while the sprinkler system was running on zone 6. When we corrected the GFI issue, the sprinkler system would not start as the red "sensor" light was on. I flipped the bypass switch to get zone 6 to continue but the red sensor light stayed on. I tried to reset the sensor by pressing the reset button on the sensor control and then lost zone 6- literally. When I arrow thru my zones, 6 does not show up anywhere. I now only have 1 - 5.
Any advice?
AnswerHey Deb, more than likely you have a short in either the wire that runs from the controller out to valve #6, or the solenoid on valve #6 is bad, and is shorting out the circuit. I would suggest locating valve #6, and you will notice 2 wires that run from the solenoid, cut one of these wires, and then try resetting the controller again. If it acts okay, then the solenoid is bad,and you need to replace it, if you are still having an issue, then the wire is probably shorting out, and needs to be repaired or replaced. Good luck and have a great day.
