Question
I have a problem, the hydraulic valves are just buried in the yard and not in boxes. I have located 3 of the 8 valves due to leaks, however there is a valve that's stuck open and only one station works regardless of where you set the controller. Is there any method to locate the buried valves? I noticed on the found valves there is a metal band around the plastic housing about 2" wide. I wonder if a metal detector can pick that up? Any ideas?

Hey George, yes you can use a metal detector. Also, if that doesn't work, you can work your way back from the closest head to the valve, by digging down and finding the pipe, and then go about three feet at a time, and dig down to the pipe(pothole) and follow the pipe back to the valve.
