QuestionHello! I had a rainbird sprinkler system installed a few years ago. Within the past few weeks I have noticed something weird. I had a contractor out to look at it, but he was in a hurry and I would like a second opinion. I have the rainbird esp controller and 7 zones. The last three zones on the system share a module. The problem is this...all zones seem to be working ok except the last 3. The last 3 zones pop up as you would expect, but periodically will act like they are going to go back down. The water pressure will decrease and the heads bob and then it will run normally again. They do this every now and then during their run time. The contractor seems to think that this is a controller problem. I'm not sold on that. If the controller was bad, wouldn't it effect all zones? I was thinking the module with the last 3 zones might be bad...? Could this be more involved than that? Never had any problems until recently. Where do I start?
AnswerHi Allen
Probably is an issue with the module, make sure it is locked.
Move the 3 zones to the main module and move zones 2,3,and 4 to the 3 zones module if the zones 5-7 works fine and the zones 2-4 present the same issue the problem is the module.
You can find the module at any irrigation store or at http://www.sprinklerwarehouse.com/Rain-Bird-ESP-Modular-Controllers-Timers-s/116...
