Question
TORO DDC-6 Controller
I have a Toro DDC-6 that has worked well for the last 6 years. Last fall I unplugged the controller for the winter and left the 9 volt battery plugged in. This spring, I plugged the controller in and when it came on the display showed "03" and the arrow in the display pointed at "Year" and none of the buttons worked (see image). I unplugged the controller and replaced the battery (which was dead) then plugged it back in but the buttons still don't work. Do you know what the problem could be?
AnswerHey Dewain, what I would suggest, is to take the battery out of the controller. Then un plug the controller and let it set for about 1 minute, then with the battery still out, plug it back in and see if you get a better display. Sometimes if the battery goes dead with the power off, it will throw off the controller. If the controller is still not working correctly after you try this, then the controller needs to be replaced. Good luck and have a great day.
