QuestionWe have a ten-year old Irritrol RD-600-INT controller for our drip irrigation system in our garage. Within the past week or so, I noticed that the alternate programs (B & C) were not working as scheduled. I can only get them to work when I put the timer on "Manual", program in the time, and run the program. This tells me (I think) that there is nothing wrong with the valves, as they will run correctly on the manual setting. I've replaced the battery (thinking that might be an issue).
Is it time to replace the controller?
AnswerHi Ellen,
Check the programs to make sure you have a start time, days to water and time to water. Disconnect the controller from the power and take out the battery. Reconnect and reattach the battery, reprogram it and test. Last resort: replace the controller.
