QuestionMy controler has been running the batteries down sense it was installed about every month,I check power incoming 24V good,at the station power is not stable 5v to 18v. I am at a loss Please help!!
AnswerHi Gary
The battery will preserve the program and run the clock during power outage. It runs out of charge if the power outage last long. The 24V comes from the transformer to the circuit board, and when a valve is active it should have 24V to 30V. With a range of 5V to 18V the selenoid will not open. It appears the controller is defective, it is new you can ask for the guarantee.
Check if have some power interruption during long periods (like night)the controller needs to be powered all the time.
