Question
When I turn the controller to the OFF position the water drop crossed out does not appear and the system continues to work.  I want to blow-out the lines for the winter but cannot get the system to turn off.  It continues to water on the programmed days and times.  Any ideas what is wrong?

Hey Leslee, as the controllers get old, the contacts start to wear out, and stop working properly, or the micro-processor is going bad. First I would suggest taking out the back-up battery and disconnecting the 110 volt service for about 1 minute. After about a minute, turn the power back on and without the battery installed see if it will work properly. If you are still having issues, you need to replace the controller.
