Question
I have a Irritrol RD-900 indoor model and need to move the controller a few feet.  The transformer 24 VAC power cord needs to be extended by about 6 - 8 feet.  What is the practical limit that I can extend this power cable before I run into problems with the controller?

Hey Mark, I would suggest if you need to add more wire to the plug in transformer, cut the wires about 6 inches from the transformer, and then wire nut a heavier gauge stranded wire (lamp cord) at least 14 gauge in thickness, and you will have no problems going up to about 20 feet.
