Question
Hi Guillermo, my back yard is a maze of wires on the surface so am
cleaning it up.  But, I mistakenly cut about 125 feet of my spinkler
system wire.  I never had a sprinkler system before so yes I messed
up.  Anyway, I dug up the two ends that were burried and found they
had 4 wires and what looks like a string, what is that string for?  Also
is it safe to attach the wire to the house above ground instead of
burying it?

Hi Will

The system only uses the 4 wires, not the guide, be sure to tie the wires according to the color. The colored ones are for the zones and the white is the common. Use Dry Conn wire nuts to secure it. The system only uses 24VAC no it will not be any problem if it goes above, but be careful not to cut it when some one steps on the yard.
