Hunter EC Irrigation System

Question
Hi Guillermo,

We have a Hunter EC Irrigation System.  Recently, a storm blew through that caused a power surge at our neighbors house, and blew out several appliances including their irrigation system.  After hearing this, I unplugged mine since more storms were in the forecast, because I do not have a power surge protector in place for the irrigation system.

After the storms past, I plugged the Hunter EC back in and now all symbols are displaying and nothing is happening.  It has been unplugged for about a week.  I've looked in the manual and I don't see a trouble shooting option for this.  I'm kicking myself now because I was trying to prevent blowing it out through a possible power surge, and now I feel like I broke it myself!!  My husband is deployed, so unfortunately I can't have him help me with this.  Please help :(

Answer
Hi Jana

Do you mean the display looks normal, and no irrigation is done?
Check the programing and make sure you have one program with:
Start time
Days to water
stations run time (watering time)

If you have at least those and still not work:

Try resetting the controller and reprogramming it:

Clearing the Controller's Memory/Resetting the Controller
If you feel you have misprogrammed the controller, there is a process
that will reset the memory to factory defaults and erase all programs
and data that has been entered into the controller.
1. Press and hold down the minus ,right arrow and PRG buttons.
2. Press and release the reset button in the lower wiring compartment.
3. Release the minus ,right and PRG buttons. The display should now show
12:00 am. All the memory has been cleared and the controller may
now be reprogrammed.

Good luck
Guillermo
