QuestionHi, I just installed a Rain Bird 3500 rotor sprinkler and when I turn on the valve to test it, it does not pop up. It starts to work when I give the top a little pull. The rest of the sprinklers are regular pop-ups and they work fine. What could be wrong? I tried Rain Bird 32SA before and they worked OK, although they had their own issues. Also, there's a little leaking at the top. Does that mean there's dirt inside?
AnswerPaul,
Do you know your flow rate of the system (Gallons Per Minute) and what the PSI and flow rate demand for the zone in question?
What size nozzle do you have in the 3500, and how far do you want it to spray and what is the desired watering pattern?
