QuestionI have replaced the pump w/ same model and horsepower. The pump is working so efficiently it ( when zone valve is open ) goes right to the cut off pressure, then as water runs out thru heads, kicks back on at kick on pressure. Now pump cycles on, off continuously. One zone w/ a broken head ran fine, pump never kicked off because enough water was leaving pipes to never build up kickoff pressure. I am afraid to turn up the pressure switch for fear of bursting a joint somewhere. I have 5 hunter pgp's per zone. Should I just put bigger nozzles in heads to use more water??
AnswerYes, I know what you are talking about. Pumps are not my area of expertise but I will check with an expert in my area. If I remember correctly there is a pressure switch on the pump when it is acting like that. Let me get back to you within 24hrs with advice from my supplier. You may have to provide a follow up for me to respond.
