Question
Our system seems possessed because it started coming on at will despite our turning the switches off.  Finally we just unplugged it. We thought the problem might be the fuse so I took it to the  local hardware store for advice even though the fuse didn't look broken. He told me I should check that the dates and times were current which we have done and it's set to go off tomorrow.  We'll see what happens.  However, he said we should check the battery inside and I'm at a loss to find a battery which is suppose to be close to the fuse.  Perhaps our model is too old?  I'm unable to locate a manual.  Is there a way to get one?

Hey Dorothy, I wish you would have let me know what controller you have.There is a website www.coastwaterworks.com, and if you go into the irrigation section of the website, you will see a box for "manuals". Click on this link, and it will show different manufacturers and their  different model controllers, hopefully they will have yours.
