Question
I have an underground irrigation system. I turned the system off last two weeks when my husband cleaned out some plants and he might have broken a pipe or two during the job. When I turned the system on again, there was a "tick" sound from the meter box (that is usual)only, but no water come out from the sprinklers. What could be wrong?

Hey Jane, it sounds as though either the main water line to the sprinklers is turned off, or there was a wire cut. First check the main water valve to make sure it is turned on, and if it is, then I would check for a cut wire. Thanks and have a great day.
