Question
Hi Jim,

One of the zones in our irrigation system won't shut off even when the system is off. I have to turn the main water supply off. After shutting off the main water supply, all 5 sprinklers retract into the ground as they should when the system is turned off. Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to call the company that installed the Toro TMC-212 system?

Hey paul, on of the valves is stuck open. Each zone is controlled by a separate automatic valve.What you would need to  do is find out what valve is sticking on, and then it probably needs to be rebuilt, or at least cleaned out. This is a fairly easy chore, if you need parts to rebuild it, you will need to know the Manufacturer, the size, and the model # of the valve you need to rebuild. A good website is www.irrigationtutorials.com and they will show you in detail what it takes to rebuild or replace a valve. Good luck and have a great day.
