Questionhi jim- i hope you can help me- my main anti-siphon valve [it's on the side of the house away from the sprinkler valves] is pouring out water when sprinklers are on. the anti siphon valve is new. all of my sprinkler valves are the kind with anti siphon built in and they are not leaking. if this is not caused by debris in the line- what are some other possibilities? thank-you.
AnswerHey Shawn, first off, if your automatic valves have an anti-siphon on them, you wouldn't need a main anti-siphon. If your main anti-syphon is pouring out water, when the sprinklers are on, are the sprinkler heads even working correctly? If the heads aren't working correctly, there could be too many heads on one valve. If the anti-siphon does not leak when the sprinklers are not on, then I doubt you have debris in the line. Make sure the main valve is turned on fully. It could be you have too many heads on the valves, and you might have to re-do the system with less heads on each valve. Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions. Thanks and have a great day.
