QuestionQUESTION: I have a 5 valve system. The no.2 and 4 valves are having the same problem. Not enough presure to pop the heads. I can turn the bleeder and they come on full force. I use the timer and not enough presure. I have replaced the no.2 silenoid and no improvement. The no.2 valve is a Hardie and the no.4 is a Lawn Genie. Any idea what's wrong?
ANSWER: Hey M, very simple, you need to replace the diaphrams in these valves. Go to irrigationtutorials.com and it will show you how to replace a diaphram. You will need to get a diaphram for each different valve. You will need to know which valve model of "Hardie" you have and also what model of "Lawn Genie" you have. All valves have there own diaphrams. Any Irrigation supply store should have the diaphrams you are looking for. Good luck and have a great day.

QUESTION: Jim, I replaced the diaphrams and the silenoids in both valves. One valve it works great now. The no.4 valve still has the same problem. What NOW?
AnswerHey M, make sure that you have installed the diaphram the correct way. you need to make sure that you have installed the diaphram so that the hole under the solenoid port aligns with the hole in the diaphram, if it doesn't, then the valve is not going to work. If you have installed it correctly, and the solenoid is working, then you might need to replace the whole valve. Good luck and have a good day.
