Question
Hi there,
We have an Orbit 57881 timer and have only used it once.  It started having a message "Off Pwr".  We changed the fuse, the message went away for a few minutes and now it is back.  I am thinking that we need to replace the solenoids, and if that doesn't work, maybe we need a new timer?  Do Orbits have a bad reputation with this sort of thing?  Like I said, we just had the system installed and used it once before this happened.  Thank you so much for your time!

Try resetting the controller by disconnecting the power and the battery backup for 2-3 minutes, then reconnect and reprogram.  I wouldn't think that the solenoids are the problem. Make sure that all your wiring connections are sound, especially the power supply.  If these things dont help, you may have a faulty controller.
