QuestionHi Jim,
The above controller is "acting" like everything is fine, but none of the 6 channels are coming on. The display shows each channel coming on and counting down..but water is not flowing to any channel. There is a rain sensor but I disconnected from the circuit. I have also confirmed there is 24V (+/- 10%) coming into the controller. And I have confirmed there are no "opens" in the wiring between the controller and the 6 valves. Is it possible the controller is just shot...like a relay to the valves is not functioning? Appreciate any suggestions you can offer. Thanks!
AnswerHey Doug, what I would suggest, is first check if the controller is putting out the correct voltage to each valve. To do this, simply check your voltage by turning on a valve one at a time, and with a volt/ohm meter, touch the negative lead to the common field wire terminal, and the positive lead to the station terminal you have turned on (#1 terminal for example). If you are not getting a good reading (22 to 26 volts) then your controller is bad. If you are getting a good reading at the terminal, then I would check and make sure the wiring is not cut, or it is hooked up properly. Let me know if I can be of further help, thanks and have a great day.
