A previous owner in my home in Melbourne Australia installed this Hardie Total Control irrigation system ?it抯 been great, however of late I have had to modify programs to respond to local council water restrictions. Since altering programs I have been left with the problem that the system will not shut down after commencing an auto sprinkling ?it just keeps running through the water cycles and will not shut off at the end of the last cycle.
Can you recommend a fix or send me to someone who can?
AnswerHey Paul, I hope this helps. Usually when a this happens, it means that you have programmed in more than 1 start time. Check your start time settings, and only have a start time set on start time #1. Make sure start time #2, #3, #4 etc. are set to off. You only need to set one start time for the entire program to run through a cycle. For example, lets say you have time on stations 1 through 4 for 10 minutes each. And you set a start time for 6:00am. At 6:00am the cotroller turns on station #1 and runs it for 10 minutes, then it goes to station #2 and sees if there is time programmed in to station #2(10 minutes) then it will run station 2 for 10 minutes, then it will go to station #3 and so on. Lets say you set a start time #1 at 6:00ama, and a second start time at 6:15am. the controller waits for the first start time cycle to be completed, and then when it is done, it sees another start time at 6:15, and runs another cycle when the first one is completed. Hopefully this is what the problem is, check it out and let me know if I can be of anymore help. Thanks and have a great day.
