Question
After a recent power outage our LD-4 Lawn Genie valve controller shows OFF in the display window.  It does not respond to any input from the dial or the A/B - + _> switches.  I have verified with meter and continuity tester that there is 24vac to the terminals, the fuse is good and even replaced the 9v battery. Any more ideas I can try before replacing the control?

sounds like it needs to be reset. unplug from the wall, remove the backup battery, and wait at least 5 minutes. plug it back in and hit the "reset switch/button" (i am unsure of where it would be on yours as all are different). once that is done it will be in the "default" mode and you will need to reprogram the entire thing - date, time, days on, run time, etc... when that is completed put the backup battery back in.
