Hi Jim,  The system will not turn on automatically or with manual.  the message on the screen is a backwards J4 AC and blinks err.  Plus station A which I use is suddenly in military time.

Hey Debbie, I hope this helps. First thing to check is to make sure you are getting power to the controller. Take out the battery from the lower compartment and un-hook the power and then power the controller back up. Also once you get the power back on, hold down the negative, the forward arrow, and the prg buttons, and hit the reset button in the lower compartment, and once the reset button is pushed in and out, you can release the 3 other buttons. It should reset the time back to 12:00am. If the controller is saying ERR 4 this means that you have a short in the wiring to valve #4 or the solenoid on valve #4 is shorting out and needs to be replaced. If you need a manual for this controller go to www.hunterindustries.com and you can download a manual. If you take out the battery, and power off the controller, and then power it back up and the display is still bad, then it might be time for a new controller. This controller can be set for either am,pm time or military time. Refer to the manual and it will show you how to set up the am/pm time.
