QuestionI have a 6XX 6 station 5 year old Hardie for my home irrigation The unit seems to work fine - setting programs, valve times, etc. Only problem is no matter what the program is, the unit starts its cycle at 7:00AM - every day. I pulled the circuit board and no apparent blown IC devices. I did note that the 9 volt battery had been connected to the rechargeable post and had blown out the bottom of the battery. The resulting mess did not seem to get into the circuit board. If the unit is dead, does Hardie sell only the circuit boards? The full units are about $100 if I remember.
Answertry resetting the controller - unplug from the power source and let set for about 5 minutes. plug the power back in and hold in the reset button (i believe on the back of the panel) to clear the memory. make sure the battery is not connected during this procedure. reprogram and see if that corrects the problem.
if it is still having the same problem I recommend getting another controller. the cost of just getting a panel will most likely be the same or more $ than buying a whole new unit. let me know how it goes and if you need any further help. also let me know if you need help with where to purchase one.
good luck!
