QuestionI have a Hardie TC-15B system, using 8 zones. The system was used several times this year. Trying to drain the sytem and the manual modes will not turn on. I have 27 VAC coming from the xformer. I have take the wire from several zones and touched them to the xformer wire and they still dont turn on. Help need to get the system drained before the weather gets colder.
AnswerHey Bob, I hope this helps. When you say you touch the wire to the transformer, are you touching the common field wire to one side of the transformer, and the hot field wire to the other side of the transformer? If you are and the solenoids are still not activating, (all of them) then I would suspect that you have a broken or cut common field wire. If none of the valves are working, it is probably a bad common field wire, because the common field wire will effect all the valves. If an individual hot field wire is cut or broken, it will just effect that one valve. Let me know if I can be of more help. Thanks and have a great day.
