QuestionMy Ranibird controller has worked perfectly for several years but just yesterday it failed to turn on the pump at the programmed time. My controller has three wheels. One for time, one for days of week, and one for the valves, I checked the time settings and everything looks correct. The pump came on fine when I advanced the valve control wheel manually from "rest". All the valves activated and finally turned off. The problem seems to be in the control unit itself.
Any advise would be welcome. Lee
Answeras a test try setting the controller to come on automatically while you can watch it - meaning reset the start time for a few minutes from now and watch the operation. If it is still not turning the master-valve/pump on automatically then I agree the problem may be with the controller circuits. Electro-mechanical controllers don't have any quick "reset" buttons but they do seem to run forever and are easy to use. I do hope you get the old controller running again but if you do not I recommend upgrading to a solid state controller. would you like any recommendations?
