QuestionI have a Hardie Irrigation Total Control 9 zone controller for my irrigation system. The controller has stopped working and displays an error message indicating the zones have experienced a short circuit. I have attempted to re-boot the system by cutting power to the controller but received the same error message upon re-start and the controller will not operate under the manual setting. Any suggestions? I can not locate the owners manual.
AnswerHey Bob, I hope this helps. First off, when you cut power to the controller, have you taken out the 9 volt battery? When the power comes back on, put the dial in the current time or manual single station mode, and hit the "off" button. Also, if you are getting a "short" message, then you have a problem with a short in either the master valve, or one of the field valves. This needs to be fixed of the controller will not operate properly. Also check in the back of the unit, and make sure the fuse has not blown. Go to www.irritrol.com and you can download a manual with a trouble shooting page on it. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Thanks and have a great day.
