Setting Toro vision 1 sprinkler head

Question
QUESTION: Hi Jim. I'm trying to set the heads on my toro vision 1 sprinkler system. I've figured out how to adjust how much or how little spray by using an allen key on the little hole on top of the head. What I can't figure out is how to adjust how far the head spins. I'm tired of watering the street(although the asphalt does look good!). The head spins too far. I see that there is a slot below the spray adjustment(for a screwdriver?), but can't figure out what to do. PLEASE help!! Thanks for the anticipated speedy reply!

ANSWER: Hey Bill, what kind of sprinkler head is it? Is the brand Toro? If it is, what model sprinkler head is it. Just because the controller is a Toro, it doesn't mean you have a particular head. Find out what head you have, or send me a picture. Let me know, good luck and have a great day.

QUESTION: Hi Jim. Thanks for the speedy reply. Don't know where you are, but it's dark here, but took a picture anyway. If it's no good, I'll take another one tomorrow morning. Thanks again!

Answer
Hey Bill, for some reason I never received any pictures. Anyway, normally on the Toro rotor heads the left side will be your fixed position. First rotate the top turret to the right until it stops, and then rotate it back to the left.  Now insert your screwdriver into the slot, and if you want less of an angle, turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise. If you want more of an angle, turn the screwdriver clockwise. The left hand side will always be set, so you will want to turn the whole head, until the left side stream is where you want it.  The right side will be what the angle adjustment screw will change. Also, if it is not a rotor head, you can go to www.toro.com and find what kind of head you have, and also find a brochure on the head that tells how to adjust them. Hopefully this has helped you, good luck and have a great day.
