Question
I have a Rainbird ESP-6 Sprinkler timer.  It's not more than 3 years old.  It has recently started freezing at 12:14am on Tuesdays.  The only way to reset it is to unplug it from the wall.  Any ideas as to why this would happen or how to fix it?

Hey Nathan, I hope this helps. The only thing that I could suggest, is to check your 9volt back up battery. This particular model takes a 9 volt rechargeable nicad battery(not a akaline). If there is one installed, take it out, and then disconnect the power for about a minute. Then reprogram the controller and install a fresh rechargeable battery. See if this helps, If it still does the same thing, then the microprocessor is bad, and you need to replace the controller. Good luck and have a great day.
